Paola Bennet is an alternative songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. Pulling equally from roots/folk and synth-driven rock influences, her music has been termed “spine-chilling” and “therapeutic and relatable” (Last Day Deaf, Dusty Organ). Her warm, intimate vocals quietly devastate, putting vulnerability front and center. Gut-punch lyricism is her forte—bringing to life anxiety attacks, queer desire, grief, long-distance friendships, life transitions, and more.
Paola has been highlighted by music tastemakers including Obscure Sound, Wolf in a Suit, Glasse Factory, and ParaPop. She has released two original EPs, Maybe The Light (2021) and The Shoebox EP (2016), as well as a trio of Ink Spots covers, Honeychild (2020). She’s played live at landmark venues on both U.S. coasts. She is a former columnist for Half Mystic, a press and literary journal dedicated to music (read "Daughter, Peach” and “Shrine to July”). She also currently writes an at-least-monthly newsletter on Substack called Small Histories.
